Spring has sprung!!
Hi everyone,
This weekend has been glorious weather-wise. Beautiful sunshine, hardly a breeze and to top it off a quilt show to attend. South Coast and Country Quilter's held their bi-annual quilt show this weekend at Bateman's Bay Soldiers Club. What a setting and what a show. Unfortunately for you girls I forgot the camera. Sitting on the kitchen bench at home. There were lots of very visually stunning quilts and I came home with a couple of purchases. Will show next post.
I had some sad news through the week, a close girlfriend was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) a debilitating disease that affects the nervous system. She is now at home recuperating so I thought I would make her a quilt. What do you think?

It's just the top for now.....will have to wait and go to work to pick some borders and backing. Will be visiting her in a couple of weeks when school holidays start here in NSW. Will have to get my finger out and have it finished. Luckily its an all over design and will not take long to quilt on my friends qulting frame.
After the show today I came home and have started another stitchery for a bag I plan to make. Oh by the way, I have now finished my stitching angel projects.....here's the last

So it's off to Holland in the next day or two.
Cheers everyone. Hope your weekend was as special as mine!

I'm on a Roll!
I've managed to finish a few other things this week. Firstly my Stitcher's Angel project No.2.
. Now I know you're all saying it has no stitching on it but it's for your all your stitching tools. I promise the next one will have stitching somewhere on it!! To tell you the truth embroidery is not my strong point. I'm a machine girl from way back. I'm usually found trying to make a handmade project into a machine made one!! I also made one of these pouches for myself in colours I don't normally use.
But I just couldn't refuse to buy this gorgeous paisley fabric.
My goal today is to get this bag made.
Not much more to do but have to hunt around for the pattern. My sewing room is a little untidy after all the work it's had these last two weeks!!
Well I hope everyone has a great day sewing or whatever. Thanks for the comments you left girls! I did get them but not sure how to reply to you. I've gone through all the settings but still can't find what's wrong. Please know I was pleased to receive them and hope you and your families are well.
Cheers Sandy

Busy Week with results!!
This week saw me finish quite a few projects for different things. The first was our charity quilt for Cyberstitching Day in November. We're making a real day of it with raffles, lucky door prizes and lots of eats and treats throughout the day. Below is a couple of the prizes on offer.

The quilt is the result of the last stitching day held in June...it's a real joint effort. I must say a big thankyou to my Jersey Belles for their hard work and generosity.
This week also found me finishing my stitcher's angel project no. 1 which I gave you a sneak peek in the last post. Even though these are soo not my colours I'm very proud of the job I did.

Believe it or not I also finished handsewing the binding on this quilt....a kit I bought from the Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair in June. Again I'm rapped at how it's turned out. It's currently hanging in the shop to rave reviews...so does my ego good to hear those compliments!!!LOL!!

Well I hope you've lasted to the end...such a long post for me. The weather is cold and very overcast here so I think I will go and stitch some more of pressie no.2 for my stitching angel. Catch you all next time.
Take care

Stitcher's Angel News
Hi there!! Well it's official....I'm a stitchers angel. The cut off date has been reached and now we are all waiting for our angel's names. So I thought I had better do a post so my angel knows I am still alive and kicking.
Shop News
We are still going strong with the Freeform knitting and soon we will be starting a beginner's patchwork class (just as soon as I get the sample finished LOL). I think I had better give you some background.
I bought the shop 2 1/2 years ago very run down and not a lot of stock as the previous owner had not been well. So the last two years have been spent restocking and doing the odd class. It's a small business with just me at the helm so hence the reason I'm always busy. I can now afford a staff member part time and on that day I will teach which is something I've wanted to do for a while. So things are starting to pick up for me. I'm soo in my element as I've been crafting all my life with one thing or another. At the moment it's patchwork, knitting, crocheting and odd bits and pieces. We are also just about to change the name of the store so look out for that one.
Well I've now to go and finish the blocks for the sampler quilt which I will post shortly...just very basic. And then I will bind my flannel quilt.
Till next time take care and bye for now
